      Jim-Bow's Archery was established in 1989 out of our basement at our home in North Bay. We started out with approximately a thousand dollars worth of inventory. Jim was working for North Bay Hydro at the time and thought this would be a nice hobby to get into. He had been doing a bit of Archery Hunting himself and 3-D Shooting. It was hard to find the proper equipment in this area and someone knowledgeable enough to help. In a few years it was time to find a location where he could set up a practice range and a 3-D course. In 1993 we moved to our present location in Astorville. A 3-D Range was soon up and running with twenty 3-D Targets on the course. In a few years we had expanded that to forty targets and were organizing some major tournaments. The shop also grew and we soon found out that it was too hard to run the shop and do the tournaments at the level we wanted. We stopped the tournaments and put all our efforts into running the business. Getting shooters started off on the right foot is our top priority now. We have many great people that come out to help and promote the sport of Archery at Shoots all around the area.
